It is possible to rent harps, and I’m happy to provide advice if you are in the market for a harp.

This is roughly equal to $33USD (US Dollars) depending on the exchange rate.

A. Yes!

Please send through a photo of a valid student ID and we can arrange our student cost of $30AUD per 30 minute lesson.

Q. How do I set up for an online harp lesson?

A. Setting up is simple and easy

  • Have your device connected to Wifi and in landscape orientation.
  • Sit behind a plain background, not in front of a window!
  • Place your device on a desk in front of you, or  on a music stand works really well
  • I need to see both hands so check in your devices front camera to see how you are being displayed
  • Please ensure you are in a quiet area with minimal distractions.

What sort of music do we play in our online harp lessons?

A. We will start with basic harp technique and music theory.

Once we are confident in the basics, we can play whatever you like! Song suggestions are welcomed.

I can source sheet music appropriate for your skill level, or I will arrange it myself.

Please note that not all music will be appropriate for harp, especially lever harp, and we will also have to make sure it’s appropriate for your skill level.

Q. What software do we use in our online harp lessons?

A. I’m happy to use Zoom, Whatsapp, or Skype. If none of these work, we can try Facebook Messenger video call.

Q. Is there a cancellation or late policy for online harp lessons?

A. If the teacher is late, you will still receive your allotted 30 minutes, even if we have to make it up on another day.

If the student is late we may not be able to extend the lesson, depending on the days schedule. Please try to be ready 5 mins or so before the lesson starts.

It is ok to cancel if something comes up, but I will need as much notice as possible. A minimum 24 hours notice is required for cancellation without charge.
